Why did you come to the Reunion? You hear all the negative comments about your school when you are a student. As you grow up you realize everyone says the same thing about their school. Despite our differences our class had an unspoken bond that held us together. I didn’t come back, at least not the first time. I was pulled back by a gravitational pull, a need to confront my roots. Age and experience have shown me that it was a privilege to attend this school. Our differences were our strength. The fact that so many of us are attending our Reunion is a testament to the character of the school and teachers we encountered. — Marie (Schmidt) Brooks
